Alameda Front Steps Project
The goal of this project is to show the strength and beauty of our community in the face of uncertainty… and to highlight the faces and families of the Alameda community during a time when we might not see each other in passing at the grocery store, coffee shops, parks or restaurants.
This project was originated by photographer Cara Soulia in Needham, MA to raise money for her community and it has been replicated by photographers all over the country - collectively raising over $500,000 benefiting community organizations. Fellow Alameda photographer, Lisa Winner, and myself decided to bring this project to our own city and the response has been outstanding! We’ve photographed over 100 families and continue to raise funds for Alameda Meals on Wheels. Plus three Alameda families were chose to be included in the official book, click to learn more!
