Welcome to the world little Shay

I love being welcomed into a home in the first few days or weeks after a family has brought home a new little addition- it is such a precious and exciting time filled with adjusting, learning, and lots of snuggles. These earliest days when the family is just getting to know their newborn can be emotional and sentimental, and I get to capture it all. It was such a pleasure to meet little baby Shay and his family- they were easygoing and baby brought his smiles that day!

We started with family photos, little man wasn’t quite sleepy enough for posed photos yet so we bundled him up and his family got to cuddle with him. What I love about in-home, mixed sessions is that we get to include all the family members in the session experience. Big sister was so proud and loved holding her little buddy!

Once little Shay was warm and comfy, he settled into a nap and we were able to move on to his individual photos. Mom loved natural colors and opted for greens and beiges. He loved his swaddles and looked especially adorable in the soft, knitted bear hat that big sister picked out for him. It’s not every session we are lucky enough to snag a few smiles, but little man was feeling extra smiley!
